#Roommates, following the heartbreaking news that actor Thomas Byrd was tragically killed in Atlanta, local authorities have announced a reward being offered in an effort to find those who took his life. According to recent reports, a $10,000 reward is being offered for any information that can aid authorities in apprehending the suspect(s) responsible in Thomas Byrd’s death.
@AJCNews reports, Atlanta Crime Stoppers has decided to increase the reward in Thomas Byrd’s death investigation to $10,000, after he was sadly killed in southwest Atlanta on October 3rd. The Tony Award-nominated actor, who appeared in a number of films from director Spike Lee, was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds in his back.
Police responded to a call from the 2200 block of Belvedere Avenue at about 1:45 a.m., according to Atlanta police spokesman Officer Anthony Grant. He was pronounced dead shortly after by Grady Hospital emergency medical services. As of right now, local investigators are still unclear on what led to the incident and are working to determine the circumstances surrounding Byrd’s death, Grant said. “I’m So Sad To Announce The Tragic Murder Of Our Beloved Brother Thomas Jefferson Byrd Last Night In Atlanta,Georgia. Tom Is My Guy,Here Below You See Him As The Frightening Character Errol Barnes In CLOCKERS. Brother Byrd Also Did His Thang In My Joints- CHI-RAQ,SWEET BLOOD OF JESUS, RED HOOK SUMMER,BAMBOOZLED,HE GOT GAME,GET ON THE BUS,GIRL 6 And CLOCKERS. May We All Wish Condolences And Blessings To His Family. Rest In Peace Brother Byrd.”
