Rick Ross took time out of his press run in DC with Adrien Broner ( who has a fight coming up this Friday against The Money Team’s Ashley Theophane) to stop by 93.9 WKYS radio talk show “The Fam In The Morning.
Dj Quick Silva and Lil Mo discussed Ross’s latest album “Black Market” as well as a new “Self Made 4” album executively produced by Wale that Quick Silva got to hear exclusively himself. Quick Silva also didn’t hesitate to get Ross’s thoughts on the racially charged awards controversy and on Rock’s opening monologue!
At the 12:50 mark it Lil Mo had brought up one of Rock’s jokes he made about Will and Jada Pinkett Smith boycotting the Oscar’s and referenced “Rihanna’s panties” in the mix and immediately Ross said: “Chris Rock…he a cornball. Let’s keep it real.” Almost everyone in the studio agreed to Ross shading Rock, with Lil Mo growing louder with her words shouting, “He’s not funny! His brother is funnier than him.” Quick Silva jumped in to say, “I’m glad you said that,” agreeing with Ross’s use of words to describe Rock.
Ross then continued to say: “Chris Rock a cornball.” And Imma leave it right there. It wasn’t funny—stop! I’m not a fan of his. He wasn’t the one.”
Yikes! Its safe to say Mr. Rock won’t be doing standup for Rick Ross anytime soon! You can listen to the rest of the interview here
