<p>Controversy still lingers a year after police shot and killed 12-year-old Tamir Rice in Cleveland, Ohio. It&#8217;s seems as if people are out to add insult to injury any chance they get. </p>
<p>Just over a month ago, the city sent his family a $500 hospital bill from his dying ambulance ride. And now, a Cleveland city employee found it appropriate to exercise his right to free speech on Facebook to express how he wish he would have killed &#8220;the little criminal&#8221; himself. </p>
<p>The post read, &#8220;Tamir Rice should have been shot and I am glad he is dead&#8230; I wish I was in the park that day as he terrorized innocent patrons by pointing a gun at them. I am upset I did not get the chance to kill the little criminal (expletive).&#8221; </p>
<p>Those are the words of Jamie Marquardt, and Emergency Medical Systems Captain. He has since been fired in consequence of that post. </p>
<p>A spokesman for the city, Dan Williams, described the posts as &#8220;egregious&#8221; and told a newspaper that &#8220;the posts were not acceptable and do not represent the views or standards of the City of Cleveland administration, Department of Public Safety or Division of Emergency Medical Services.&#8221;</p>
<p>Of course, Marquardt is insisting he&#8217;s innocent and is claiming, &#8220;I did not do it. I presented evidence to the city of Cleveland that I did not do it. They fired me simply because it was on the news.&#8221;</p>
<p>Hmm&#8230;.</p>
