<p>It is being reported that a traffic accident cost former New Orleans Saints star Will Smith his life last night&#8230; the cause of death road rage.</p>
<p>According to the Washington Post, the former defensive end and his wife were driving in New Orleans when a Hummer hit them from behind causing them to run into the car in front of them. Witnesses say an argument started and then 6-8 shot rang out shortly after. Smith&#8217;s car had a bullet hole in the windshield and Smith was in the car slumped over the steering wheel. His wife was shot twice in the leg , no word on her current condition but she is expected to survive.</p>

<p>“A senseless and tragic loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with Will Smith — his wife Racquel — his children William, Wynter and Lisa,” said Greg Bensel, the Saints’ vice president of communications.</p>
<p>The 28-year-old shooter stayed on the scene and was booked on second degree murder charges.</p>
<p>He was 34. Our prayers go out his family and friends.</p>
