#Roommates remember the African American women that filed a racial discrimination suit against the Napa Valley Wine Train? Well they have won their case because they settled for an undisclosed amount!
According to TheGrio, their attorneys finalized everything last week, and the amount is confidential.
Now if you don’t remember then let me catch you up. The women gathered on a train, 10 black, 1 white, and we’re discussing a romance novel before the train left the station in Nappa. Apparently one of the workers came over to the women and basically told them to lower their voices because what they were conversing about was offending some of the passengers on the train.
After the train reached the next station, St. Helena, they were taken off of the train and escorted to a dirt lot where the police was waiting for them.
So you know that wasn’t going to fly with them so they hit the Nappy Wine Train with an 11 million dollar lawsuit.
