<p>A night that is supposed to be every high schooler&#8217;s dream turned into a nightmare when a Wisconsin teen shot two students outside of his former high school before being killed by police himself.</p>
<p>According to the NY Daily News, students at Antigo High School were enjoying their night at prom when 18-year-old Jakob E. Wagner, a former student who had graduated last year, opened fire outside of the school. Two students were injured; a female who was treated and released for her wounds and a male who had to undergo surgery but is expected to recover.</p>
<p>Authorities say an officer was patrolling the school when he engaged in gunfire with the suspect, &#8220;stopping the threat.&#8221;</p>

<p>“Hats off to them, they did their job,” the prom&#8217;s DJ, Brandon Irish, told the Daily News. He continues to say that the students were ordered into the school&#8217;s gymnasium and stayed there until about 1 a.m.</p>
<p>“You hear about it, but you don’t think it’s going to happen close to you,” Irish said. “We’re a really tight knit community. Everybody knows everybody.”</p>
<p>At the moment it is still unclear what the motive behind the shooting but Wagner did post this picture to his Instagram a few months ago</p>
