This is yet another unfortunate news story of an American citizen who was in the hands of the police before passing.
According to New York Daily News, 22-year-old Symone Nicole Marshall was reportedly found dead on May 10 while in the custody of Walker County Jail, in Huntsville Texas, where she was refused medical attention. Her 3-year-old daughter will now be without her mother because of this.
Marshall was in a major car accident before she had gotten detained. Crazy right?! While in custody, she experienced black outs and complained to her sister Honey Marshall over the phone that she had severe head trauma.
“I called the jail several times and requested for them to take her to a real hospital and they wouldn’t do so,” said Honey…My heart hurts so bad. She was my best friend. I am so angry that they did this to her.”
Huntsville’s law enforcement has yet to release any information to Marshall’s family. All we know is that a car had apparently ran her off the road on April 26, in which caused her vehicle to flip multiple times and then landed in a ditch. She was arrested moments later.
“My sister Symone moved to Texas for a fresh start in life a few months ago. She was doing good down there, had a job and was about to buy a house. She’s a beautiful person, never been in trouble before and didn’t deserve this,” said Honey Marshall.
This story is still developing.
