Looks like someone is demanding that Rihanna and Roc Nation better have his money because he’s alleging they stiffed him out of $160k for a show that never happened!
According to Complex, Nigerian promoter, Chris Ubosi is demanding the cash advance he allegedly paid Rihanna for a performance she was supposed to do in Lagos back in May 2013. He says he had agreed to pay $435,000 to schedule the “Work” singer for a 65 minute show at the Eko Hotel but had to pay $160,000 in advance. Apparently the show was pushed back to July for some reason but a date was never set and thats when he realized that someone ran off on the plug!
Welp, Roc Nation is claiming that Ubosi was a victim of a scam because he never spoke to Rihanna or her camp about a show.
“Rihanna, Roc Nation nor anyone associated personally or professionally with either party was in contact with this person,” a rep from Roc Nation told Complex. “Unfortunately this person was scammed. Rihanna nor Roc Nation collected any money for this event.”
