The holiday season is officially coming to an end as we prepare to enter a new year. However, we cannot deny the fact that 2 Chainz’s “Dabbin Santa” Christmas sweaters were the hottest fashion statement this holiday season. Literally everywhere you turned this sweater was being worn my everyone, even some of our favorite celebrities.
In a recent interview with Forbes 2 Chainz revealed that he made $2 Million off of those Dabbin’ Santa sweaters. Of course the proceeds were for a good cause as his T.R.U Foundation helped those families that were in need during the holidays.
Dierdre Plater, a disabled veteran was one of the recipients of the foundation. She was able to have her rent paid for an entire year, and also have her home fully furnished thanks to the proceeds from the sweaters.
2 Chainz told Forbes, “My dad was a veteran. He passed a couple of years ago. He was in the Army. He jumped out of airplanes for a living. So it’s just charity, period, for me.” He continued, “They had no furniture, they were living month-to-month. I just wanted to relieve some of that stress.”
2 Chainz also talked about coining the idea for a few years now, but with the dab craze going on it only made everything a success, but this is not something that happened over night.
