Looks like its all fun and games until someone says you committed a felony! Well thats what Kimye may be facing after their Snapchat stunt that put a not so innocent Taylor Swift on blast yesterday !
If you were asleep while it all went down, Kim Kardashian decided to put her big girl pants on for her hubby and posted a secretly recorded conversation between Swift and ‘Ye making it clear that the singer knew about about the Chicago rapper’s infamous ‘Famous’ lyrics about her.
Of course word got back to the blonde bombshell and she clapped back saying she didn’t know Kanye was going to refer to her as a “b*tch” in the song.
It definitely was a great laugh for the night but the question is who will get the last laugh because Kim K may have committed a felony for recording the convo in the first place!
Apparently it is completely illegal to record any conversation without the consent of all people involved in California.

A first offense, under the California Penal Code, can carry a fine of $2500 or even imprisonment for up to one year (Sections 631 and 632). Kanye, who by Kim’s admission in the episode, “has videographers with him 24/7 recording everything,” could be guilty if charged. The statute also provides specific penalties for disclosure of confidentially recorded conversations: fines of up to $5,000 and one year in jail (Section 637). Kim’s Snapchats would undoubtedly be considered disclosure, and she too could find herself in some trouble if the law is enforced.
Well according to TMZ, Ms. Swift is already considering taking legal action because word is the conversation was recorded at a studio in California. This isn’t the first time Taylor’s legal team and Kimye have met over this matter either.
TMZ got a hold of a letter sent to Kanye West’s lawyer back in February demanding that he stop with the secret recordings, “Demand is hereby made that you immediately destroy all such recordings, provide us of assurance that this has been done, and also assurance that these recordings have not been previously disseminated.”
Yikes!
Well if Taylor does decide to move forward with charges The West’s will be looking at fines up to $50, 000. They may also have to pay up to three times the amount of any “proven actual and special damages.”
