Parents of Boy Killed By Alligator Will Not Sue Disney Resort

Matt and Melissa Graves are still mourning the death of their son, the young boy killed by an alligator last month at Walt Disney World. The couple has finally released a statement to share their grief over losing 2-year-old Lane Graves.

“We will forever struggle to comprehend why this happened to our sweet baby, Lane,” they wrote in their statement. “As each day passes, the pain gets worse, but we truly appreciate the outpouring of sympathy and warm sentiments we have received around the world.”

Ironically, as much grief as they are experiencing, The Graves will not be suing the resort stating that the primary focus should be the “future health” of their family.

It isn’t clear whether or not the family has settled out of court but according to The NY Daily News, legal experts say it’d be hard for them to prove that Disney was necessarily at fault.

Walt Disney World President George Kalogridis stated that the company will “continue to provide ongoing support for the family, which includes honoring their request for privacy.”
