<p>Colin Kaepernick is standing by his decision to sit during the National Anthem.</p>
<p>When people take a stance against something they believe in, they either receive a lot of support, or a lot of backlash, and the quarterback is definitely receiving a little bit of both.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000691874/article/colin-kaepernick-ill-continue-to-sit-during-national-anthem">The NFL</a> is reporting that people are upset because they feel as though his decision to sit during the national anthem is basically throwing shade to the military service men and women who &#8220;sacrificed so he could freely decide to do what he wants, like protest.&#8221;</p>
<p>Others on the other hand are all here for Kaepernick&#8217;s decision and stand by him 100 percent because they agree with his reasoning.</p>
<p>He says that he has &#8220;great respect for men and women that have fought for this country,&#8221; and believes that the reasons they are fighting for &#8211; freedom, the people, liberty and justice, are not happening.</p>
<p>&#8220;I have family. I have friends that gone and fought for this country. They fight for freedom. They fight for the people. They fight for liberty and justice for everyone. And that&#8217;s not happening. People are dying in vain because this country isn&#8217;t holding their end of the bargain up as far as, you know, giving freedom and justice and liberty to everybody.&#8221; Kaepernick said.</p>
<p>There are many public figures who agree with him completely, and aren&#8217;t afraid to say it to the masses either. Take Beyonce&#8217;s mother, Tina Lawson for instance. She&#8217;s here for Kaepernick&#8217;s protest and shared her thoughts in the lengthy Instagram post below.</p>
