It looks like the future for Nicki Minaj’s brother, Jelani Maraj has just went from bad to worse as it has been reported that his wife is divorcing him!
According to the Daily Mail, his wife Jacqueline Robinson filed for divorced on August 18. The filing comes a few days before the couple would’ve celebrated their one year anniversary.
Documents show that the divorce was labeled as an “uncontested matrimonial” meaning that they both reached the agreement to separate and have probably settled the division of assets.
Both Maraj and Robinson were married last August, just a few months before Maraj was arrested. The wedding cost came out to about $30,000 and it was footed by Nicki Minaj. Nicki Minaj was also responsible for bonding her brother out of jail by putting up the home she got for him and his mother.
Reports of the divorce comes just days after Maraj was given four days to mull over a 15 years to life deal for the rape of his 12-year-old victim. If he chooses not to take the deal and loses, Maraj can face life.
