Looks like the former face of Subway, Jared Fogle’s torch of disgrace is still being lit. Thats because his ex-wife is reportedly suing Subway for not telling her he was a pervert earlier!
According to CNN, Katie McLoughlin is claiming that the sandwich chain knew that Fogle was a pervert way before news hit the public but failed to take proper action because of it’s “ambition for sales and growth.”
In a new lawsuit, McLoughlin says that had Subway addressed his taste for minors from the beginning, which she dates as far back as 2004, she nor her family would have to deal with the emotional distress that they are dealing with now.
“A responsible corporation would take immediate action when hearing of this behavior, even if it was only allegations,” she charges in the suit. “Subway failed every test of corporate responsibility in its response to each of these complaints.”
She apparently knows of three instances where Subway was made aware of Fogle’s inappropriate activities and failed to do anything about it. The suit cited an instance when Cindy Mills, a Subway franchisee, had alleged that Fogle had to her that he had sex with minors as young as 9 back in 2008. She alerted former CEO Jeff Moody about it but was allegedly told, “please don’t tell me any more. Don’t worry, he has met someone. She is a teacher and he seems to love her very much, and we think she will keep him grounded.”
McLoughlin had married Fogle back in 2010 and says had she known the man who she was really marrying, she wouldn’t be going through what she is going through today.
“Having neither expert knowledge of pedophiles’ predatory compulsions nor seeking guidance from experts, Subway made a terribly misguided assumption that Jared’s marrying Katie would correct Jared’s pedophilia behavior, ” the lawsuit stated.
Fogle and McLoughlin have two kids together, ages 3 and 5.
As for now he is still serving his 15 year sentence in prison and is due to pay all 14 victims $100,000 each. Let’s chat below!
