Nicki Minaj is facing some heat today after she posted a video of a woman who is apparently known for having mentally illness.
Yesterday, Nicki was apparently enjoying a night out on the town in Miami when she encountered a woman who seemed to be upset with her for some reason.
It’s unclear what started the meltdown but many people who have stayed on South Beach say that the woman is well known and that her mental illness is nothing to joke about. While some did laugh it off, others weren’t too fond of Nicki videotaping the encounter especially The National Alliance on Mental Illness.
According to TMZ, the organization argues that the video is dehumanizing and invades the woman’s right to privacy since Nicki posted the video for her 70 million+ followers to see.
“Nobody would make fun of a cancer patient, and mental illness is an illness like any other.”
We’re not sure if Nicki knew she suffered from an illness or not because the woman was holding a cup and it could’ve been a case of mis-drunken identity. We’re sure she meant no harm.
