Bad news for Yandy Smith and her family as it was reported that her husband Mendeecees Harris was denied an early release.
According to VH1, The ‘Love and Hip Hop’ star had requested to have his eight-year sentence reduced to five but from the looks of it, the judge wasn’t having it.
Mendeecees was locked up back in December 2015 for his participation in a drug ring that ran from New York City to Rochester. Even though prosecutors believe the punishment fits the crime, Harris’ lawyer Dawn Florio claims that her client was only a small fish in a big pond.
Florio also argued that Mendeecees has been exhibiting good behavior from even before being sentenced, from him giving up over $170,000 in LHHH money he’s earned as well as volunteering in his community.
As for now, there is no word of what Mendeecees’ next will be.
