Recently news broke that Mel B filed for divorce from her husband Stephen Belafonte after 10 years of marriage.
On Monday Mel’s lawyer got a restraining order against Belafonte where he is now forced to leave their home and stay away from Mel B and her three children.
According to TMZ, in her declaration, Mel B tells multiple stories where she claims that Belafonte has been beating on her and threatening to sexually exploit her throughout the years.
In November of 2007, she claims that Belafonte placed his hands around her neck and began choking her and then slammed her down into the hardwood floors. She reportedly said that as she reached new levels of success, he would “beat me down to let me know he was in charge.”
She makes another claim of Belafonte abusing her during the taping of X Factor in July 2012.
In another claim, she reportedly said that Belafonte got their nanny pregnant and said he wanted her to have the baby and, “all three of us live together.” She says that Belafonte ultimately demanded that the nanny get an abortion, and he later paid her $300,000 of Mel B’s money for “alleged nanny services.”
Other claims involved more physical abuse, Belafonte forcing her into intercourse with him and other women and then recording it and later threatening to release tapes and more.
