As fans are still left heartbroken over the sudden death of “Rob & Big” star Christopher ‘Big Black’ Boykin, his ex-wife says he has been battling a terrible heart condition for some time now.
Chris’ ex-wife, Shannon Turley, told TMZ that her ex-husband had been suffering from heart issues and had been at a Plano, TX hospital for several days because doctors needed to monitor his heart.
She also said Boykin had a defibrillator in his chest and was on track to be placed on the transplant list for a new heart.
Turley, divorced Boykins back in 2009, says Chris passed at 4 PM after doctors tried to resuscitate Chris for 30 minutes.
Even though the couple aren’t together Chris was staying with Shannon in Texas because of his health.
