Louisiana Assistant Police Chief Resigns After Posting Racist Meme On Facebook

#Roommates, yall really have to start being more careful with what you post on social media because nothing is private anymore, and one Louisiana man learned that the hard way!

According to the Huff Post, Wayne Welsh, an assistant chief at the Estherwood Police Department, shared a racist post on his Facebook page depicting a woman holding a young girl’s head under water! To make matters worse, the caption was When your daughters first crush is a little negro boy.

It didnt take long for Waynes post to circulate and he ended up resigning.

“When I found out about it, I couldnt believe I had to call him. I called him at work and asked him what the hell is going on, Estherwoods police chief Ernest Villejoin told local news outlet KADN. He done it. He said it and he realized what he had done after he done it and he deleted it but it was too late.

Before Wayne deleted his Facebook page he admitted that he was shocked by the backlash.

“It’s not against the law to share something on Facebook. Its social media. The Internet, he posted, before backpedaling with an apology. Well, Im sorry for what happened. Ya have a blessed day.
