50 Cent Shares One Of His Fondest Memories Of Pop Smoke & Talks About Executive Producing His Album

As many celebrities practice social distancing like the rest of us, they have been using their Instagram platforms to entertain their fans. On Tuesday, 50 Cent was one of the many celebs to go live and speak with his fans.

While playing some old school records, and expressing the importance of knowing about good music in order to move forward, he ended up telling a story about Pop Smoke.

50 talked about one of the times he met with Pop, and while he was talking to him, Pop had been on his phone during their discussion. Confused by his actions, 50 thought Pop was not paying attention to him. However, when he went to see exactly Pop was doing, he found out that he had been taking notes in his phone and grasping on to the words of advice he was given.

50 said, “See it’s a difference between a n*gga copying you. That’s not copying. He never copied one f*cking thing from me. He just looked at it, saw what was good in it. It influenced him, and he was doing his own thing with it.”

He continued, “He told his mother, he was gonna take her to an award show, and I just wanna make that part real.”

Earlier this month, 50 first announced that he would help executive produce and finish Pop Smoke’s album.

It has been a little over a month since Pop Smoke was murdered in California at the age of 20. There have been no updates concerning his murder.

We continue to keep Pop Smoke’s loved ones and fans lifted in prayer as they continue to mourn his passing.
