<h3 style="text-align: center;">The Victim Was &#8216;Bound &; Placed In The Trunk Of His Own Vehicle&#8217;</h3>
<p>According to a statement from the <a href="https://spdblotter.seattle.gov/2023/03/16/early-morning-ravenna-crash-leads-to-kidnapping-victim/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Seattle Police Department</a>, the ordeal went down late last week at about 5 a.m., and witnesses saw the 63-year-old climb out of the trunk as the crashed vehicle was ablaze.</p>
<p>The unidentified victim went on to tell authorities that he had been &#8220;assaulted by several suspects&#8221; before being &#8220;bound and placed in the trunk of his own vehicle.&#8221;</p>
<p>Firefighters were able to swiftly extinguish the flames and transported the man to a nearby medical center for &#8220;non-life-threatening injuries.&#8221;</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Neighbors Speak On The Situation: &#8216;He Was Beat Up Pretty Bad&#8217;</h3>
<p><a href="https://www.king5.com/article/news/crime/kidnapping-victim-escapes-vehicle-crash-ravenna-seattle/281-534884f4-a5fc-43fd-b58b-3c8818019101" target="_blank" rel="noopener">KING 5 News</a> spoke with various neighbors who witnessed the incident unfold, including Raegan McKibbon, who helped the 63-year-old cross the street and get away from the car.</p>
<p>McKibbon recalled, &#8220;He was beat up pretty bad. They had cut his face with a knife and had beat him up pretty badly.&#8221;</p>
<p>Another neighbor named Cheng Yu looked back on hearing the man &#8220;scream for help&#8221; after the crash, noting, &#8220;We heard a screaming of &#8216;ahh, ahh.'&#8221;</p>
<p>Thankfully, as Brooks Mierow—the man whose home was crashed into—points out, &#8220;nobody got hurt,&#8221; and the outcome could&#8217;ve been much worse.&#8221;</p>

<p>As for the perpetrators, authorities apprehended an 18-year-old suspect, though he was eventually released. Police are still actively investigating and searching for additional suspects.
