<p>A 64-year-old professor has been charged after engaging in repeated sexual intercourse with his dog. According to <a href="https://www.huffpost.com/entry/penn-state-professor-themis-matsoukas-dog-se_n_648b0a19e4b025003ee2ba95?utm_campaign=share_twitter&;ncid=engmodushpmg00000004" target="_blank" rel="noopener">HuffPost</a>, the man is an educator at Penn State University and teaches chemical engineering.</p>

<p>According to the outlet, Themis Matsoukas was charged on Tuesday. The 64-year-old faces counts of &#8220;open lewdness&#8221; and &#8220;indecent exposure.&#8221; As well as &#8220;sexual intercourse with an animal&#8221; and &#8220;cruelty to animals.&#8221;</p>
<p>Additionally, the professor is also facing a &#8220;disorderly conduct&#8221; charge.</p>

<p>Matsoukas was reportedly charged after the sexual acts were &#8220;caught on trail cameras&#8221; in April in Rothrock State Forest, Pennsylvania. Additionally, forest rangers were able to identify the professor due to a North Face backpack present with the suspect in the footage. As well as a Subaru Outback vehicle, which was also present at the crime&#8217;s location.</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://www.statecollege.com/articles/local-news/police-crime/penn-state-professor-accused-of-performing-lewd-acts-with-dog-in-state-forest/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">State College</a>, the professor engaged in the acts &#8220;while naked&#8221; — only wearing a ski mask, watch, boots, and backpack. Additionally, Matsoukas allegedly filmed himself engaging in the actions on his dog with his iPad.</p>
<p>Upon search of the professor&#8217;s home, cops were able to positively identify the dog as the one captured on trail cameras. As well as locate the iPad used in the crime.</p>
<p>At the time, Matsoukas reportedly expressed the reason behind his actions.</p>

<p>Additionally, he reportedly begged police officers to &#8220;shoot him,&#8221; as per <a href="https://www.fox43.com/article/news/crime/themis-matsoukas-arrest-lewd-acts-rothrock-state-forest/521-c69de662-b274-4589-aece-e46f2dde4861" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WPMT</a>.</p>
<p>According to the <a href="https://nypost.com/2023/06/14/penn-state-professor-themis-matsoukas-accused-of-performing-sexual-acts-with-his-dog/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">New York Post</a>, Matsoukas has reportedly engaged in &#8220;lewd acts&#8221; in the forest since 2014.</p>
<p>He has a court hearing scheduled on July 19.</p>
