<p>A 70-year-old Nashville man is now facing charges after allegedly murdering his wife on New Year&#8217;s Day. According to <a href="https://www.fox35orlando.com/news/nashville-man-kills-wife-with-hammer-on-new-years-day-buries-her-body-in-6-foot-grave-police" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Fox 35 Orlando</a>, the man was arrested on Saturday, January 6.</p>

<p>The outlet reports that seventy-year-old <strong>Joseph Glynn</strong> was booked into Davidson County Jail following his arrest. He has reportedly been charged with criminal homicide, abuse of a corpse, and evidence tampering.</p>
<p>Glynn is also being held on $1,030,000 bond.</p>

The incident allegedly took place at their home. Then, on January 2, he reportedly drove her body to a property they shared in Smithville to bury her.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.wwnytv.com/2024/01/07/body-missing-woman-found-after-husband-killed-her-police-say/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WWNY-TV</a> reports that Glynn had a hole dug on the property two weeks before his wife&#8217;s murder.</p>
<p>DeKalb County Sheriff Patrick Ray reportedly explained that Glynn told a contractor he needed the whole for a burn pit. According to <a href="https://www.wwnytv.com/2024/01/07/body-missing-woman-found-after-husband-killed-her-police-say/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">WWNY-TV</a>, the pit was 6 feet wide, 10 feet long, and 6 feet deep.</p>
<p>Glynn allegedly led Jackie&#8217;s children to believe that she left their home because she was terminally ill.</p>
<p>However, the children questioned Glynn&#8217;s account and contacted their mother&#8217;s doctor to learn that the information was false.</p>

<p>A silver alert was issued to inform the public that Jackie Glyyn was missing. To note, a silver alert is &#8220;activated when an elderly, developmentally, or cognitively-impaired person has gone missing and is determined to be at-risk,&#8221; per <a href="https://www.chp.ca.gov/news-alerts/silver-alert" target="_blank" rel="noopener">California Highway Patrol</a>.</p>

<p>However, on Saturday, January 6, Jackie Glynn&#8217;s body was found &#8220;deep down&#8221; inside the hole. According to authorities, her body was placed in a plastic vehicle cargo box, which was found underneath roofing shingles covered by dirt.</p>

<p>Glynn allegedly disposed of the murder weapon and admitted that he sold his wife&#8217;s belongings after her death. Furthermore, police allege that the man also attempted to sell the Smithville after he buried his wife.</p>
