There Are Plans To Donate Chyna’s Brain To a Science, Dr. Omalu To Do Research

Roommates, did any of you guys support #WillSmith’s #Concussion film? He portrayed Dr. Bennett Omalu who discovered a neurological deterioration in a deceased football player called chronic traumatic encephalopathy or CTE. It turned out that many other athletes suffer from this diagnosis and ever since he’s spreading awareness of the dangers of head trauma.

Where #WWE wrestler Chyna comes in is that doctors are interested in using her brain for further research on CTE. Her longtime friend and manager, Anthony Anzaldo, spoke to the NY Daily News about plans to donate her brain to Dr. Omalu’s studies. “We want to donate her brain,” he told them. “We want to know what made Chyna tick.”

Anzaldo told The News that lawyers had reached out some months to her death and inquired about whether or not she’d like to join a brain injury lawsuit against WWE. Anzaldo says that she declined, however was interested in the science behind it. “When she died, they called me again and asked, ‘Can we have her brain,'” Anzaldo said. “My hope is that we can do it. I’m in the process of getting the permission to speak on behalf of family to tell the coroner it’s okay to release it.”

Anzaldo insists that they are in now way interested in a lawsuit, rather they are interested in whatever the doctors find.
