As things are slowly moving along for the Bobby Shmurda’s criminal case, the judge wasted no time in slapping one of his GS9 homie with a hefty sentence.
The New York Daily News is reporting that 24-year-old Rashid Derrisant has been sentenced to 98 1/3 years in prison after being convicted of 22 counts of conspiracy, murder, attempted murder and assault.
According to the office of Special Narcotics Prosecutor Bridget Brennan, Derissant had shot and killed a 19-year-old rival while also trying to kill three others in a Brooklyn bodega back in February 2013.
“The sentence imposed today reflects the terror that the defendant’s crimes instilled in his own community, and wherever else he engaged in wanton violence to settle scores,” Brennan said in a press release. “It also underscored the value of the lives lost and tragically damaged.”
