Now if you aren’t familiar with who Marion Crane is let me catch you up real quick. According to Wikipedia, She was unhappy with her relationship with her boyfriend and rejected the idea to take the day off at work, at the bank, after her co-workers suggested she take a breather. Later on in the day one of her wealthy customers came in and gave her 40,000 dollars and asked her to put it in his account, but she stole it and ran off.
On her run from the bank she ended up at Bates Motel and checked in with the hotel owner, Norman Bates. Norman invited her to dinner where he discussed his mentally ill mother. Marion made the mistake of suggesting that he put his mother in a mental hospital, which he angrily refused to do.
After dinner she went to her room to take a shower and removed her clothes while Bates watched her through a peep hole in the wall. While she was taking her shower a figure suddenly came out of nowhere and stabbed her, killing her.
Bates believed his mother committed the crime and put her body in a shower curtain, and moved it to the trunk of his car and sank it in a nearby swam.
In the end it turned out that Bates was the mentally ill patient all along, and actually killed his mother 10 years ago.
