Earlier this week news broke that Lifetime will be doing a biopic on pop star Britney Spears. Now some fans expressed their interest in the film, while others remained skeptical due to the networks past biopics.
According to Love B. Scott, it turns out that Britney Spears is not in support of the network doing a biopic on her life.
Her rep said that she has no involvement with the project “in any way shape or form…nor does it have her blessing.”
Now this is not the first time the network doesn’t have the blessing or the involvement of the artist or any of their people.
We can all remember the Aaliyah biopic that premiered back in 2014, and the Whitney Houston film, which aired back in 2015. Both films did not have the support from either teams.
However, the network did air the Toni Braxton film, “Un-break My Heart” earlier this year, which the singer was hands on with.
