How Sway? Michael Jackson Made More Money in 2016 Than Any Living Celebrity!

Michael Jackson is getting his coin even as he rests in peace–the music icon reportedly made more money than any living celebrity during 2016.

Claiming the top spot of Forbes’ list of highest-paid dead celebs, MJ has his name on $825M pretax dollars. That even tops the highest paid celebrity of 2016, Taylor Swift who raked in $170M (pretax).

One of his biggest attributions to his new broken record was his half of the Sony/ATV music-publishing catalog that raked in $750M back in March. Even if that was his only income contribution, he would still have surpassed Taylor. Sheesh.

Check out the full list of Forbes’ highest-paid dead celebs:

13- Elizabeth Taylor ($8M)
12- Steve McQueen ($9M)
11- David Bowie ($10.5M)
10- Bettie Paige ($11M)
9- Albert Einstein ($11.5M)
8- John Lennon ($12M)
7- Dr. Seuss ($20M)
6- Bob Marley ($21M)
5- Prince ($25M)
4- Elvis Presley ($27M)
3- Arnold Palmer ($40M)
2- Charles Shultz ($48M)
1- Michael Jackson ($825M)
