Y’all seen that Ohio pastor who told Donald Trump that he had the “top gang leaders” ready to have a sit down to speak about “lowering their body count” in exchange for some positive federal reinforcement. Well now that man is claiming that he “misspoke” at the White House…. guess Trump can get alternate hood facts too.
Anyways, FOX 32 reached out to Pastor Darrell Scott and asked “So, there are no gang leaders offering to reduce the body count in exchange for federal funds?”
He responded, “No! I mean, c’mon now! (laughs) No!” Apparently, Scott was too tired to watch what he was saying because he also told reporters that a “lack of sleep” was another factor behind his words. He says he has only talked to one gang leader and no others.
Scott had gone viral after he was videoed telling Donald Trump that he had top gang leaders willing to spread less violence in exchange for federal funds.
“They’re going to commit that if they lower the body count, we come and do some social programs,” Scott said. He even added that leaders were really interested in working with Trump’s administration.
Still Trump had a firm response for the pastor. “If they’re not going to solve the problems, what you’re doing is the right thing, then we’re going to solve the problem for them. Because we’re going to have to do something about Chicago. ‘Cause what’s happening in Chicago should not be happening in this country.”
Scott also still stands behind his belief that before any government aid can come gang leaders still have to stop the violence.
“Before we start talking about creating jobs, before we start talking about all these other things, before we implement them, we need to reduce that body count,” Pastor Scott told FOX 32.
