Hey #Roommates! Where are all of our Chance The Rapper Stans? Y’all will definitely appreciate this. So y’all know how Chance has this thing about being and staying independent? He brings it up a lot, especially on his Coloring Book album!
There’s no question about whether or not his line has been jumping after winning his three Grammy awards; but the gag is, Chance is not picking up!
So apparently he’s been turning down millions of dollars in offers from labels. According to the New York Post, a source says that he is “making too much on his own … He was turning down $5 million advances before, and now it’s like $10 million.”
It must be nice to be in a position to just turn down $10 million!
Anyways, the source added, “He may do something with Apple, but not a label per se … He is going to remain independent.”
He told Vanity Fair he believes that “if you put effort into something and you execute properly, you don’t necessarily have to go through the traditional ways.”
