#MatthewKnowles really wants to create a dialogue about racism, y’all. However, his comments about how Beyoncé’s—and a few other notable artists’—lighter skin complexion was more favorable have sparked outrage especially in the black community.
Knowles is now clarifying those statements. He spoke about it while discussing his book “Racism: From the Eyes of a Child” with PageSix. He just doesn’t want the topic of colorism to interfere with the real issue at hand—racism. “I wanted people to begin dialogue about racism, about colorism. I wanted people to really become honest about our beliefs, about racism and how it exists in America today,” he said.
Then he slipped a shameless plug in there about his next book which will be about #DestinysChild. “My fourth book, which will be ‘Destiny’s Child: The Untold Story” that’ll be towards the end of this year, first of next year,” Knowles told @PageSix.
