The woman that has accused Nelly of raping her on his tour bus is looking for the defamation case against her to be dropped because she said she has been telling the truth all along.
According to The Blast, Monique Greene reportedly filed documents where she says she did not defame Nelly because her statements have been true and have been protected by freedom of speech.
However, the 25-year-old says Nelly has been defaming her in the press in order to rescue the reputation of “a performing artist who peaked in popularity a decade or so ago.”
Greene sued the rapper for sexual assault and defamation, and in return he counter-sued her. Now she reportedly wants his counter-suit to be dismissed and her original lawsuit to continue.
In another filing, Greene reportedly accuses Nelly’s girlfriend Shantel Jackson of verifying his alibi to “further his defamation campaign.”
Jackson claimed she was at the show venues and on the tour bus when the alleged incident occurred, and called the accusations against Nelly false.
