Love is still real and alive, #Roommates! A 98-year-old man from Rochester, New York is going the extra mile, literally. He’s story is proof that nothing will get in the way of true love.
According to @spectrumnewsnc, for the past two weeks, Luther Yonger has been walking six miles every day to visit his wife Waverlee in the hospital. She’s was diagnosed with brain cancer back in 2009 and is currently paralyzed.
“I ain’t nothing without my wife,” he told reporters. “It’s been a rough pull. It’s been tough.”
“She’s the best cup of tea I ever had,” Luther added about his partner of 50 years. “She would come in and kiss me and say baby and feed me in the bed and this is what I need right here.”
