On Monday, VH1 aired their annual Mother’s Day celebration “Dear Mama.” During the show, viewers were able to watch as some of their favorite celebs paid tribute to their mothers.
During the show T.I. appeared on stage to award a deserving single mother a $25,000 scholarship in honor of his late sister Precious Harris. He said, “The world lost another woman, who was a pivotal part of my development, an incredible lady. My sister Precious, she was a single mother who worked to make life better for her children and everyone she encountered.”
T.I. continued to announce the “Precious Chapman Scholarship,” and its first-ever recipient Tierani Scott, who is a single mother and junior at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, AR.
Back in February, T.I.’s sister, unfortunately, passed away after suffering an asthma attack before getting into a car accident.
