Justin Bieber Offers Some Encouragement As He Reflects On His Troubled Past

On Monday, Justin Bieber got candid with his followers as he penned a lengthy open-letter detailing some of the mistakes that he has made in the past. Throughout the letter, he admitted to some of his wrongs throughout the years, including abusing drugs and ruining the relationships that he had with others.

As many of you know, we’ve all watched Justin grow up in front of our very eyes, however, he let his followers know that everything wasn’t all great as they appeared to be. He said, “You see I have a lot of money, clothes, cars, accolades, achievements, awards, and I was still unfulfilled.”

He continued, “Have you noticed the statistics of child stars and the outcome of their life? There is an insane pressure and responsibility put on a child who’s brain, emotions, frontal lobes (decision making) aren’t developed yet.”

He went on to talk about how having fame at such as young age led to some of the bad decisions he made within his life.

“By 20 I made every bad decision you could have thought of and went from one of the most loved and adored people in the world to the most ridiculed, judged and hated person in the world,” said Justin.

He admitted to doing “pretty heavy drugs,” at the age of 19 and abusing many of the relationships he had built, and also becoming resentful and disrespectful towards women.

Now at the age of 25, he talks about how his marriage to Hailey Baldwin has taught him many different aspects, such as patience, trust, commitment, humility, and many other qualities he believes makes a good man.

His purpose for sharing this message…to inspire others who may be going through similar situations. He said to his followers, “When the odds are against you, keep fighting, Jesus loves you.”
