#Roommates, if Twinkies always hit and you crave them all the time, then you’ll be very happy with this news. Just in time for the holiday season when your sweet tooth tends to be more out of control than ever, Twinkies has officially been turned into a cereal!
America’s classic golden sponge cake is officially making its cereal debut in a matter of weeks! Twinkies cereal will be officially available at Walmart stores nationwide in late December. The new cereal came about due to a collaboration between Post and Hostess brands. The Twinkies cereal will cost around $4 per box and will mimic the long shape and sweet taste of the original.
The Hostess brand continues to make an impressive comeback despite filing for bankruptcy back in 2012. You may remember that fans were in quite an uproar when Twinkies briefly ceased production due to the company’s financial troubles at the time.
After a year-long hiatus, Twinkie came back better than ever with an array of limited-edition flavors including chocolate, orange creme pop, and moonberry, even deep-fried Twinkies were briefly available in stores.
However, unlike the deep-fried version, Twinkies cereal is set to remain on grocery stores permanently indefinitely.
Roommates, will you be trying it out?
