THE TIME HAS FINALLY COME!!! It is official Floyd Money Mayweather has announced today that he will indeed be fighting Manny Pacquiao on May 2!!!!
Here’s what he posted on IG as the caption to his signed contract with Pacquiao:
What the world has been waiting for has arrived. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on May 2, 2015, is a done deal. I promised the fans we would get this done, and we did. We will make history on May 2nd. Don’t miss it! This is the signed contract from both fighters.
The welterweight matchup is set to be in no other place but Las Vegas at the MGM Grand and is reportedly supposed to be biggest fight, money wise, ever! According to a few sources, Money May would earn $120 million plus to Pacquiao’s $80 million, which is considerably generous to the $40 million that Floyd initially offered him when the fight was in the talks in 2012, shady! Revenue is supposed to reach as much as $400 million, whereas HBO, which has a deal with Mayweather and Showtime, where Pacquiao has his contract, have come together for a deal with Pay-Per-View which is supposed to gross $2.4 million alone!
With Mayweather being 47-0 with 26 knockouts and Pacquiao’s 57-5-2 record with 38 knockouts, we are just all ready to see these two go blow for blow and finally answer the question of who is the greater fighter possibly who is the greatest fighter in the world!
Well, you know Mayweather could not resist from the trash talk as he speaks to ESPN, “Boxing fans and sports fans around the world will witness greatness on May 2. I am the best ever, TBE, and this fight will be another opportunity to showcase my skills and do what I do best, which is win. Manny is going to try to do what 47 before him failed to do, but he won’t be successful. He will be number 48.”
Those are fighting words on my block!!! Hopefully Mayweather’s luck hasn’t run out and he can still put his money where his mouth is! FYI, for all those hoping to order the fight at home it will run you $89.95 and $95.95 for high definition! Get your coins together hunnie and may the best man win!
