Playboi Carti was arrested Thursday on drug and gun charges in Georgia’s Clayton County but has since been released.
Playboi Carti was stopped by police for riding around in a Lamborghini with an expired tag, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Authorities searched the car and deputies said they discovered 12 bags of marijuana, three guns, xanax, codeine and oxycodone.
Another man who was riding with Playboi Carti was also arrested. Both of them were taken to the Clayton County jail for booking.
It was confirmed that Playboi Carti was released from jail Friday morning, according to Clayton County’s online jail records. His friend, however, remained in custody on multiple drug and gun charges.
Authorities didn’t have additional details on Playboi’s arrest or the connection they may have had to what was found in the lambo.
Not too long ago it was Playboi that was a victim of a crime. Back in November, the home he shares with girlfriend Iggy Azalea was burglarized. The couple had more than $350,000 worth of jewelry stolen from their Atlanta home, which is located in the city’s Buckhead area.
