After the passing of Naya Rivera, her ex boyfriend Big Sean took to Instagram, remembering his ex-fiancee’ and referring to her as a “hero.”
He wrote,”Rest In Peace Naya, God Bless your Soul! Thank you for blessing us all with your talent and presence,” he stated. He continued, “You are a hero! Not just because of how you saved your son, also because of the barriers you knocked down for so many people to make them feel confident in themselves and to stand tall and be proud when they couldn’t achieve that on their own,” he expressed. He added, “I appreciate and cherish everything that ever happened between us for making me wiser and a better person. I’m still grieving and in shock, I can’t believe this is real. I’m praying for you and your family and I know your watching over them and protecting them. Rest In Peace Naya [EMOJIS].Â
The two dated in 2013 and called it quits in 2014.
As we previously reported, Naya’s body was found floating in the northeast area of the lake this morning, five days after authorities declared her missing. On Wednesday, Naya had gone to the lake that afternoon and rented a pontoon boat with her 4-year-old son, Josey.
Her son was later found sleeping by himself on the boat by another boater who made the initial 911 call. Naya was nowhere to be found but authorities reported they found one life jacket on the boat and Josie wearing another.
