Roommates, Lauren London exclusively spoke with Entertainment Tonight’s Nischelle Turner about her role in the upcoming movie ‘Without Remorse.’ She stars alongside fan favorite Michael B. Jordan in the action-suspense film. This is Lauren’s first movie role since the unfortunate passing of her partner and beloved artist, Nipsey Hussle.
During the interview, Nischelle asked Lauren about the importance of her children seeing her working again.
“We can’t stop, you know? We do have a purpose, all of us, and it’s important for my sons to see me moving forward with grief, not just curling up in a ball, because I curled up in a ball for a long time,” Lauren said.
The longtime actress also said that although their family will grieve “forever,” it’s important for them to “continue moving on” because that’s what the late Nipsey would want.
Lauren revealed in the Zoom-styled interview that she began filming the movie back in 2019. She only read the movie’s script because Michael requested she did “as a friend.” At the time, she had already decided to take an acting break in order to heal from Nipsey’s sudden passing.
“Michael reached out to me as a friend and he was so unsure if I was even going to ever work again,” Lauren said. “And he was like, ‘Look, I’m unsure if this is what you want to do, but I have to follow my intuition, I have to ask you if you can just read the script.'”
The script made her feel like she could “truthfully contribute” to the project, so she accepted the role. She only filmed for 11 days in Berlin because she desired to return to her kids.
Lauren plays the part of Pam Madden Clark, who is the pregnant wife of the main character John Clark. John’s role is portrayed by Michael. Pam ends up murdered in the film, which prompts John to seek justice. That seeking leads John to the uncovering of an international conspiracy.
The movie is set to be released on Amazon Prime Video on April 30. Other notable names in the film include Jodie Turner-Smith and Jamie Bell.
