It looks like Lamar Odom now has an opponent for his upcoming celebrity boxing match.
As previously reported, Lamar signed on to fight in a celebrity boxing match this summer, but they were still trying to find an opponent for him. According to TMZ, Aaron Carter has been named as his opponent and they have already started training for the match.
The two stars are set to face off at the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City on June 12th in a 3 round exhibition. As we know Lamar comes from an athletic background seeing as how he is a 2x NBA champion. He picked back up on the game when he joined Ice Cube’s Big 3 League back in 2019.
Aaron Carter on the other hand has a background in music, but nonetheless, it looks like the former child star is ready o throw hands with Lamar in the ring come June. He reportedly told TMZ that he “grew up street fighting” and he’s up for the challenge.
Damon Feldman, the creator of Celebrity Boxing, says that he believes this fight could be the best one yet. He added, “It’s gonna be a war, man. It’s gonna be a knockout, no doubt.”
It was previously mentioned that Aaron Carter was the other celebrity on the card scheduled to fight, and like Lamar, they were also looking for an opponent for Aaron.
In the end, it looks like they decided to just pair the two of them up to face each other in the ring.
