#Roommates, it was a big deal when ABC decided to revive 90’s hit sitcom #Roseanne and the show’s March premiere even became the highest-rated comedy broadcast since 2014. But the star of the show, #RoseanneBarr, threw it all away when the network canceled the show for her racist tweet about former White House advisor #ValerieJarrett.
Well now it looks like ABC isn’t trying to lose the steam it picked up on the Roseanne train as CBS News reports the network has ordered a 10-episode spinoff of the Conner family minus its matriarch now called #TheConners.
Apparently Roseanne has agreed to give up any creative or financial participation in the new show and has agreed to the settlement in order to save the jobs of 200 cast and crew members.
The show is set to premiere in the fall.
