<p>As everyone continues to mourn those who were murdered in the Orlando club shooting, more information about the shooter, Omar Mateen has been revealed.</p>
<p>According to the Palm Beach Post, one of Mateen’s former classmates from the Indian River Community College Police Academy revealed that Mateen and other classmates would hang out, and sometimes at gay nightclubs after classes.</p>
<p>This former classmate, who wished to remain anonymous, also revealed that Mateen asked him out romantically. He said, “We went to a few gay bars with him, and I was not out at the time, so I declined his offer.” </p>
<p>He also said that he believed that Mateen was gay but not open about it. Apparently he’s been socially awkward, which resulted to many feeling sorry for him.</p>
<p>In another report from the Canadian Press, Chris Callen a performer at the Pulse Nightclub recognized Mateen from the club. “He’s been going to this bar for at least three years.”</p>
<p>Ty Smith, another from the club, said that he’s seen Mateen escorted from the club drunk multiple times.</p>
<p>Both Smith and Callen said they both stopped talking to him after he pulled out a knife on them after someone apparently made a joke about religion.</p>
