<p>Actress <strong>Anne Heche</strong> is reportedly brain dead and not expected to survive <a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/kobe-bryants-widow-breaks-down-in-court-in-trial-over-leaked-graphic-photos-showing-husbands-decapitated-body/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">after crashing her car</a> in several homes in California last Friday, and preliminary reports show she had cocaine and fentanyl in her system.</p>
<p>Heche, 53, has been hospitalized since the accident, where authorities say she was speeding around 90 mph in her blue Mini Cooper when she crashed into one home and then another, leaving the second structure in flames, according to <a href="https://www.npr.org/2022/08/12/1117118523/anne-heche-brain-dead-car-crash"><strong>NPR</strong></a>.</p>
<p>The crash caused her to suffer an anoxic brain injury, a representative told Deadline.</p>

<p>Her condition has “not improved since she was admitted to the hospital,” according to her representative.</p>
<p>The Daily Mail reports that she is expected to be taken off of life support in the coming days.</p>
<h3 style="text-align: center;">Authorities Found Cocaine, Fentanyl In Heche&#8217;s System At Time Of Fiery Crash</h3>
<p>Initial reports suggested that she had alcohol in her system at the time of the crash, however LAPD sources have since revealed she tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl. However, the fentanyl may have been found after being administered as a pain medication after her arrival at the hospital, per reports.</p>
<p>Cops say an investigation into the crash is ongoing, with felony DUI charges reportedly looming if and when Heche&#8217;s condition improves.</p>
<p>Hours before the fiery crash, Heche could be heard slurring her words on an episode of her &#8220;Better Together&#8221; podcast, which has since been taken down, but clips of the segment, obtained by TMZ, have since circulated online.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Heche&#8217;s Ex-Wife Ellen DeGeneres Responds To News Of Her Dire Condition</h3>
<p>When asked about her condition, Ellen DeGeneres, who was married to Heche from 1997 to 2000, told the Daily Mail that &#8220;we are not in touch with each other, so I would not know.&#8221;</p>
<p>However, she added &#8220;I don&#8217;t want anyone to be hurt.&#8221;</p>
<p>Heche faces some serious legal trouble, and possibly jail time, should she pull through following the devastating car crash.</p>
