<p>Long recently spoke out amid news of the scandal. And told <a href="https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-features/nia-long-interview-best-man-franchise-career-1235271504/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Hollywood Reporter</a> what was most painful for her to handle about the scandal.</p>
<blockquote><p>I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son&#8217;s face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public.</p></blockquote>
<p>In September, the Celtics reported that Udoka would undergo an &#8220;immediate suspension.&#8221; Ahead of the announcement, ESPN reported that Udoka was involved in an &#8220;intimate relationship with a female member of the franchise&#8217;s staff.&#8221;</p>
<p>Udoka later addressed the scandal with a statement.</p>
<blockquote><p>I want to apologize to our players, fans, the entire Celtics organization, and my family for letting them down. I am sorry for putting the team in this difficult situation, and I accept the team&#8217;s decision. Out of respect for everyone involved, I will have no further comment.</p></blockquote>

<p>Long and Udoka have been engaged for seven years, and share one child together, an 11-year-old son named Kez.</p>
