Alex Trebek Undergoing Another Round Of Chemotherapy After Dramatic Decline In Health

Roommates, we are praying for #Jeopardy host #Alex Trebeck, who is unfortunately undergoing another round of chemotherapy to battle his stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

According to TMZ, Alex announced Tuesday morning he is returning to battle once again with another round of chemo. He says despite doctor’s initial assessment that his chemo was complete, things have taken a turn for the worse.

“This past summer we thought I was finished with chemotherapy,” he says. “That was a bit premature and certainly overly optimistic.”

After his initial chemo treatments, Alex’s doctors made the recommendation for him to return to the set of Jeopardy, and to start immunotherapy. Unfortunately, Alex says it didn’t work.

After being put under immunotherapy, Alex says his “numbers went south drastically and quickly.” He says, however, he is keeping a positive outlook just as he did when he began this journey.

“The chemo worked very well the first time! So, we’re expecting good results again,” Alex says in his announcement.

As we previously reported, Alex was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer, and underwent one strenuous round of chemotherapy. A few months back, Alex announced everything went very well, and we would be returning to the set of ‘Jeopardy!’

His doctors said his tumors has shrunk more than 50 percent, and cleared him to return to the set in July.

Alex’s announcement comes just after the beginning of the newest season of the game show, which Alex is responsible for hosting for three more seasons .
