Like the rest of us who have used this time indoors to perfect our crafts or learn something new, Alicia Keys has been using her time to test new talents.
As if she isn’t already one of the GOATs of piano playing, sis just found a new use for the instrument that catapulted her to fame and it’s what I think anyone would imagine.
Alicia Keys painted a whole painting with her piano, yes, a piano. Just seeing the words written down probably doesn’t do the act justice.
She shared the new talent on her Instagram page Sunday, letting fans know that she’s been working on something special.
“Yo, I think I just did something crazy,” Alicia Keys opens up the video before walking over to her brightly colored piano to play some tunes.
With each note she played, a color shot out from her piano and onto a nearby canvas. Several colors splattered onto the canvas then Alicia turned around back toward the camera.
The jury is out on if this was just an illusion or if her piano was really out here painting pretty pictures but we’ll let y’all be the judge.
Outside of painting with her piano, Alicia has had a lot to celebrate over the past year. She held it down for the ladies in an epic “Verzuz” battle against fellow pianist John Legend.
Sis also hosted the Grammys, inked a deal for a skincare line and got on her philanthropy tip by creating a $1 billion fund with contributions form the NFL to support Black businesses. So yeah, we’re definitely not mad at sis for having a great 2020 and starting off 2021 with a new talent. She definitely serves as an inspiration.
