<p style="text-align: left;">Romanian authorities have indicted controversial internet personality and kickboxer <strong>Andrew Tate and</strong> his brother, <strong>Tristan Tate, on</strong> rape and human trafficking charges.</p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">A Spokesperson Says The Tate Brothers Will &#8220;Vindicate Their Reputation&#8221;</h3>
<p>According to <a href="https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/06/20/andrew-tate-indicted-rape-human-trafficking/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Washington Post</a>, prosecutors announced the matter on Tuesday (June 20).</p>
<p>It&#8217;s directly related to accusations about Andrew and Tristan <strong><em>&#8220;misleading [injured persons] about the intention to establish a marriage/cohabitation relationship and the existence of real feelings of love.&#8221;</em></strong> Instead, prosecutors say that at least seven women were &#8220;sexually exploited&#8221; and exposed to &#8220;violence and mental coercion.&#8221;</p>
<p>In response to the indictment, a spokesperson for the Tate brothers acknowledged that they &#8220;embrace the opportunity&#8221; to &#8220;demonstrate their innocence.&#8221;</p>

<p>The spokesperson added, &#8220;<strong><em>The indictment now allows us to present a comprehensive body of evidence, diligently collected and prepared over time, which will undoubtedly substantiate the brothers&#8217; claims of innocence.&#8221;</em></strong></p>

<h3 style="text-align: center;">Background On The Andrew Tate Case</h3>
<p>This situation is the latest update in the overseas Tate case. As The Shade Room previously reported, authorities arrested Andrew, his brother, and two Romanian associates back in late 2022.</p>
<p>Prosecutors accused the Tate brothers of creating an <em><strong>&#8220;organized crime group&#8221;</strong> </em>to &#8221; exploit<strong><em> women by forcing them to create pornographic content.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>While Andrew Tate was in custody, authorities extended his detainment numerous times, as noted by <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/news/2023/mar/22/andrew-tate-custody-extended-by-romanian-court" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The Guardian</a>.</p>
<p>In March, authorities ultimately released Andrew and Tristan on <a href="https://www.npr.org/2023/03/31/1167576537/romania-andrew-tate-detention-house-arrest" target="_blank" rel="noopener">house arrest</a>. Now, they&#8217;re headed to trial over the matter.</p>

<p>In response to his recent indictment, Andrew has had a lot to say on social media.</p>
<p>Once news broke, Tate declared,<strong><em> &#8220;I&#8217;m sure this case has absolutely nothing to do with stealing my wealth.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>This statement was explicitly in response to <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/news/world/andrew-tate-indicted-romania-trial-rape-human-trafficking-charges-rcna90121" target="_blank" rel="noopener">reports</a> that authorities had confiscated about $380M in cryptocurrency and various cars, watches, and properties.</p>

<p>Some featured controversies honed in on stars like <strong>Cristiano Ronaldo</strong>, <strong>Johnny Depp</strong>, and <strong>Neymar</strong>. Then, we see clips from coverage of Andrew Tate&#8217;s case before we see various women rushing to the brothers&#8217; defense.</p>
<p>A message accompanied this video, which read, <strong><em>&#8220;Men. This isn&#8217;t about me. This isn&#8217;t about whether you like me or not. This is about all of us.&#8221;</em></strong></p>
<p>He added, <em><strong>&#8220;Today it&#8217;s me. Tomorrow it&#8217;s you. Nobody is safe from these lies.&#8221;</strong></em></p>
