<p>Roommates, following the sad news that NeNe Leakes will not be apart of the upcoming 13<sup>th</sup> season of the Bravo hit series “Real Housewives of Atlanta,” Bravo head honcho<a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/nene-leaks-reveals-she-will-not-be-on-the-next-season-of-the-real-housewives-of-atlanta/"> Andy Cohen</a> has broken his silence regarding her exit. Andy posted a very heartfelt message about NeNe’s absence from the show this season and also looked into a hopeful new future for the two.</p>
<p>There is no doubt that NeNe Leakes is an <a href="https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&;rct=j&;q=&;esrc=s&;source=web&;cd=&;cad=rja&;uact=8&;ved=2ahUKEwiGwPfDnfHrAhWjzVkKHUovBG8Q0PADegQICRAP&;url=https%3A%2F%2Fvariety.com%2F2020%2Ftv%2Fnews%2Fnene-leakes-real-housewives-of-atlanta-1234774102%2F&;usg=AOvVaw0XhWzgJcO3H456rlS9uAs8">absolute icon</a> when it comes to reality TV—and she was also the only remaining original cast member on the show that she helped build and make a bonafide hit. To not have her on the series anymore is not only the end of an era, but completely changes the show as a whole. Andy Cohen promptly spoke out about NeNe’s exit in an Instagram post.</p>
<p>Andy wrote the following message:</p>
<p><em>“Nene Leakes is an icon of the genre. She is a gif and catchphrase machine. In 11 years of #WWHL, Nene has been our most frequent guest, and she is always A BLAST. Nene nicknamed me “Buttercup” the first day we met, and still calls me that today. Through her whole run, she has always had a serious concern and drive to maintain the success and well-being of #RHOA. I am going to miss Nene on the show, but I’m hoping we work together again soon and will remain in each other’s orbits forever.<br />

<p>As we previously reported, NeNe announced that she wouldn’t be returning to the show in a video on her YouTube channel. Season 13 is currently filming.</p>
