<p>Back in 2018, <strong><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/angela-simmons-opens-up-about-her-body-positivity-journey-video/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Angela Simmons</a></strong>, unfortunately, lost her former fiancé and the father of her son Sutton Tennyson. He was unfortunately fatally shot while at his home. During a recent appearance on the &#8220;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FdMSRnmCbRQ" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><em>Tamron Hall Show</em></a>,&#8221; Angela opened up about how Sutton&#8217;s passing affected her, as well as her grieving process and where she is today.</p>
<p>When talking about how she felt after first hearing the unfortunate news, Angela said,</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;When I first heard the news, I couldn&#8217;t really accept that or understand it, and then all of a sudden I was numb. I never understood what it was to physically feel numb, but that day I was literally like I literally don&#8217;t feel my body.&#8221;</p></blockquote>
<p>Angela continued to share that she immediately went to therapy to help her through the process.</p>
<p>While expressing how grateful she is for those in her corner, she also shared that her son, Sutton Jr., always asks about his father, which causes her to have a constant conversation about their loss.</p>
<p>During the interview, Angela also shared that her son, who is now 6 years old, is ready for her to start dating again.</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;He&#8217;s like, are we ever going to get married? Is someone going to marry us? Or he&#8217;ll ask stuff like that,&#8221; she said. &#8220;This was a touching conversation because he told me &#8216;I know my dad is heaven and I&#8217;m gonna always have two dads because I know my dad will be my dad, but mommy when can we have someone? When will somebody be there for us?'&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>As <em><a href="https://dev.theshaderoom.com/michael-williams-sentenced-to-life-in-prison-for-the-murder-of-angela-simmons-ex-fiance-sutton-tennyson/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">previously</a></em> reported, Michael Williams, the man convicted of killing Sutton, was sentenced to life in prison for the crime. He also received an additional 15 years for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He won&#8217;t be eligible for parole until he serves a minimum of 30 years in prison.</p>
